Welcome to the exciting world of marketing! Whether you realize it or not, you are constantly surrounded by marketing each and every day of your life. As a consumer, it is important to understand what businesses are doing to try and get you to buy Buy BUY!!! I hope you find the course interesting and one that will help you as a consumer and for somone who may consider becoming an entrepreneur.

Course Overview
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of product marketing, which includes the marketing of goods, services, and events. Students will examine how trends, issues, global economic changes, and information technology influence consumer buying habits. Students will engage in marketing research, develop marketing strategies, and produce a marketing plan for a product of their choice
As this course is activity based it is very important that students learn about planning and how to use time wisely. Students will be evaluated on summative projects and activities throughout the course. Learning how to build and use time management skills will be a key element to student success!
To assist students, all class notes and Powerpoints are uploaded to www.schoology.com. Students will also complete quizzes and hand in assignments in "Schoology". Parents, please ask your son/daughter to log into their Schoology account so you can see important dates and what we are doing in class.
